Text Box: Kiva
If you haven’t had a chance to contribute to our Kiva jar, please do so.  This is a great opportunity to have your money put to great use.
Kiva lets us connect with and loan money to unique small businesses in the developing world. By choosing a business on Kiva.org, we can "sponsor a business" and help the world's working poor make great strides towards economic independence. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), we will receive email journal updates from the business we’ve sponsored. As loans are repaid, we get our loan money back.
At the end of December, the donations will be tallied and then matched, up to $500, by
Smart-E-Pants.
Find out more information at www.Kiva.org.

If you can help out with transportation on either of these days, please let me know.
Tuesday, December 18: Smart-E-Pants Christmas party.   The fun begins at 6:00 pm.  Please bring an appetizer.  Santa will be making an appearance at 6:30 pm, so don’t be late.  We are also asking each parent to bring a new, unwrapped book for either a boy or a girl.  Santa will be passing the books out  to each of the kids.  This is supposed to be a surprise, so please don’t have your child help with this assignment.  We would like all books by Monday, December 17th.
