Text Box: In our language arts curriculum we will be doing the following things: Group 1 will be working on letter spacing and letter height on a line, phonograms ee, sh, th, ow, ou, and site words. Group 2 and 3 will work beginning line letters b,e,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,p. They will also begin working on a designated line. In our math and Spanish curriculum we will focus on the diamond, and the colors blue, white and silver. Group 1 will begin writing numbers 0-9, continue to work addition and subtraction number sentences, and concept and number identification on 11-20. Text Box: Group 2 will work number concept and identification of 0-10, while group 3 works numbers 0-5. Our thematic units for the month are Weather Watch and Food & Nutrition. As a tie-in to our food and nutrition unit, Ben Stenn, Josie’s dad, will be hosting a field trip to Celilo on Wednesday, January 16. The kids will be get to see how a professional kitchen operates, help prepare their own lunch, and then put their fine dinning etiquette to the test. We will leave Smart-E-Pants at 10:45 am. We raised $40, matched by Smart-E-Pants, for a grand total of $80. Though it doesn’t seem like Text Box: much.
